I've been saving Meraki for a while now - and definitely for a Sunshine Saturday, especially a rainy one.
So Meraki pronounced may-rah-kee is Greek and has no english equivalent. Perhaps we should adopt it. Meraki means doing something with soul, creativity, or love. In Greece it's often used when talking about cooking but can be used when arranging decorative settings.
And so it seems like an ideal word for crafting. Because, let's face it, all great crafting is made with soul, creativity and love. It's what sets it apart and helps maintain that feeling of being 'just so'.
So let's all give it some meraki.
